December 19 - Dr. Drew Price from Sound Relief Hearing Center will discuss tinnitus. Causes and treatments will be presented and we will have time for questions and discussion. One of our own members, Deanna Cuddihy, a patient of Dr. Price, will share her experience: "Dr. Price has done wonders for my tinnitus and adjusted my hearing aids so much better than any audiologist I have seen."

November 13 - Richard Einhorn, HLAA Board of Directors Chair and award-winning composer, will share his personal experience with hearing loss and will discuss Mindfulness and Mediation for Hearing Loss. Having hearing loss can be very stressful. Hearing loss during the pandemic is a real struggle.

October 17 - Zoom meeting with Todd Hallberg and Cristine Person from Cochlear. Join us to learn about the latest CI technology, qualification requirements, insurance coverage, and more. We will have time for questions and discussion. CI wearers are encouraged to come and share their experiences.

CANCELED March 21 - Julia Beems - Julia works at the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. She is the Emergency Preparedness Program Coordinator and will speak to us about emergency preparedness.

February 15 - We are thrilled to have Leslie Van Grove as our February speaker. Leslie is the founder and course designer of “Brain emPower™." Brain emPower supports the hearing loss community by addressing psychological and behavioral patterns associated with hearing loss, that, without treatment, may lead to dementia.
Leslie will present an introduction overview about the 6 week program that further flushes the depth of the content in the course.

January 18 - If you walk into any large venue (theater, city council chambers, place of worship, etc.), do you know how to use their Assistive Listening System (FM, hearing loop, or IR)? What are your rights under the ADA regarding “assembly areas”? What’s the latest with the “Let’s Loop Colorado” initiative, www.loopcolorado.org that HLAA-Denver is participating in? What if a venue doesn’t have an Assistive Listening System, how can you, as a citizen, ask a venue to install a hearing loop? Come ask your questions and learn the answers to all of these questions at the next chapter meeting. Presenter Wynne Whyman, chapter member.
