January 18 - If you walk into any large venue (theater, city council chambers, place of worship, etc.), do you know how to use their Assistive Listening System (FM, hearing loop, or IR)? What are your rights under the ADA regarding “assembly areas”? What’s the latest with the “Let’s Loop Colorado” initiative, www.loopcolorado.org that HLAA-Denver is participating in? What if a venue doesn’t have an Assistive Listening System, how can you, as a citizen, ask a venue to install a hearing loop? Come ask your questions and learn the answers to all of these questions at the next chapter meeting. Presenter Wynne Whyman, chapter member.
