Saturday, January 17 - 1:00 - 3:00pm at the Koelbel Library in the Forum Theater
Our presenter will be Maria Gallucci, author of Raised In Silence. Maria is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), lives in Denver, is fluent in ASL and is a real estate agent. She will share what growing up as a CODA taught her about listening, empathy, and truly showing up for people. You can view the recording of Maria's presentation HERE. Saturday, February 21 - Our February meeting will be virtual on Zoom. There will be no in-person meeting at the Koelbel Library.
Our speaker will be Joe Kraus, Aud. Dr. Kraus is a Doctor of Audiology at Columbine Hearing Care in Littleton and New Leaf Hearing Clinic in Arvada. Living with hearing loss himself, he understands the challenges his patients face and is dedicated to helping individuals of all ages reconnect with the world through better hearing. Dr. Kraus will share his own hearing loss journey and will present communication strategies to help us stay connected to the people and moments that matter most.

Saturday, March 21 - 1:00 - 3:00pm at the Koelbel Library in Meeting Room A
Jennifer McBride will facilitate a discussion about what has helped us in our hearing loss journey as well as hearing struggles we are facing. It will be an interactive session to share joys and challenges.

Saturday, April 18 - 1:00 - 2:30 in the Forum Theater at the Koelbel Library
Our speaker will be Dave Martelon, the CEO and co-creator of
Oye Hearing,
Oye-Hearing.com. Dave lives in Denver and this meeting will be in-person only.
Oye's advanced voice isolation and noise reduction technology creates effortless conversations even in noisy environments. The Oye app is still in development, but will be ready very soon.

Saturday, June 20, 1:00 - 3:00pm at the Koelbel Library in the Forum Theater

Our speaker will be Allison Biever, Au.D. Allison is an audiologist at Rocky Mountain Ear Center, specializing in Cochlear Implant technology. In addition to her work in the clinic, she is also a prominent researcher in the field of cochlear implants, an instructor for Institute for Cochlear Implant Training (ICIT) and is on the board for the Listen Foundation.

Our annual picnic will be on Saturday, July 25, 12:00 - 2:00pm. Due to the hot weather, we have moved our picnic indoors. We will be at the Goodson Rec Center in Meeting Room #3.

Bring your own lunch and drinks. We will provide desserts. After lunch we will play games. If you have a game to share, please bring it. Family and friends are welcome.

Young Adults with Hearing Loss (YAHL)
The next get-together for the YAHL group will be on Saturday, September 19th at 3:00pm at Brewability, 3445 S Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113. This is a group for adults (approximately) ages 20-45 with hearing loss. If you are not on the YAHL mailing list and would like to be added, please contact Marilyn at hladenver@gmail.com

September Meeting

Gary and Sandy Nearpass will be sharing their
experiences at the HLAA National Convention which was held in Louisville, KY this past June. They will describe some highlights of a few sessions then delve more into thetwo anchor topics, Auracast and Artificial Intelligence.
It will be a very informative and interesting presentation.

October Meeting
Saturday, Oct. 17, 1:00 – 3:00pm in the Forum Theater of the Koelbel Library.
